These Guinea Pig relatives are different and alike from the cavies we know. They are social creatures, living in packs and working together for food and protection. On the other hand, they are very flighty and are like I said, very feral. They will bite. You are seen as a predator. And as we all know, that is unlike piggies.

Feral Guinea Pigs live in habitats that have forages, greens, twigs, and shrubs. They blend in very nicely with their Agouti colored coat. These cavies are slim and trim, unlike my piggies, who are spoiled rotten. Their diet consists of greens, and occasional twigs and brambles. They have adapted to the hot climate as well.

I used to think wild Guinea pigs were just like mine. They are not. That was something new to learn!
